Intermediate French (KA) - Semester 2

Course Overview

This course will prepare you to undertake Level 1 French. It will cover and revise basic French topics dependent on prior knowledge and advance to spoken, reading and listening skills. 

Spoken Interactions,written exercises and listening exercises will be assessed in this course.

Topics covered include:

• Basic Personal Information - name, age, nationality, date of birth, where you live, family, numbers, size and description

• Likes / Dislikes - what you like to do at the weekend, after school, during the holidays, with your family, friends, relations

• Hobbies and pastimes - activities and interests - sports, games and activities

• My town / My region - What is there to do in and around your town. Landmarks and activities explained.

• Describing your daily routine - with times

• Food and drink - cafe conversations - ordering and responding to questions

• Talking about the past - what did you do at different times - after school, during the holidays, etc

• Talking about school - size, subjects, things to do, timetables, favourite subjects
